Transformation starts with Science

Rosalie Sinclair, PhD
plant biologist, science communicator, curiosity advocate

Hello

Welcome to my Wonderland

My earliest memories are of listening through a stethoscope to sap flowing beneath the bark and drawing what I observed about seeds through a jewelers loop. It now seems evident that my connection with nature, plants, and art was in my veins and meant to be.

But my path to get here wasn't as straight as it may seem. There were sensory and learning challenges, and discouraging teachers in high school, and much of what I do now didn't even exist yet! This fuels my outreach.

I am a highly community minded individual who is always involved in one way or another with volunteer work and teaching/ mentoring  - be it directly through research training, community gardening, or even artistic teachings. It fills my soul to be on the ground and in the dirt of whatever community I am calling home. I also love Paddle boarding, lost wax casting in metal and glass, roller skating, crocheting, and gardening both flower veg and mushrooms!
